HC-05 Bluetooth Module Interfacing with PIC Microcontroller

Bluetooth, the wireless communication protocol used to send and receive data between two devices, is prevalent in mobile phones, computers, laptops and other smart appliances. This course teaches you how to send and receive data wirelessly with a Bluetooth module and a PIC microcontroller. We start by going over Bluetooth technology and its various applications. After that, the conditions you should consider while selecting a Bluetooth module will become apparent.

Next, we learn about the characteristics and structure, including its six pins with their specific functions, of an HC05 serial communication protocol. Following that, we explore the circuit design and wiring process while explaining how to use the Proteus software for simulation and Fritzing for schematics. After that, the step-by-step instructions for coding are provided, commencing with setting up variables, initialising the UART library, and ending with uploading the code to your PIC microcontroller.

Finally, the course outlines the steps for downloading and installing the software required for our project: mikroC, Proteus, and Fritzing. You'll find out that the mikroC is a feature-rich development tool for PIC microcontrollers, Proteus is a software tool suite used primarily for electronic design automation, and Fritzing is an instrument for connecting various pieces to create schematic wiring diagrams. This course teaches you how to augment your PIC projects with wireless capabilities, rendering them more vibrant and easy to use.
